This is how we do it!

Every Fully Re-conditioned engine unit is completely dismantled, inspected, cleaned and re-built as follows:

Camshafts fully tested & inspected then dependant on tolerances either replaced or re-profiled to their original valve timing and lift specifications.

Cylinder heads are fully tested & inspected high-pressure blasted to remove all carbon deposits. The heads are checked for distortion and thickness, then inspected for cracks and the camshaft bores measured for size, ovality, taper and alignment. The valves are replaced as necessary; valve guides are measured for wear and renewed to original tolerances; valve seats are machined to retain the correct angles, widths, heights etc. When each head is re-conditioned it is to the highest standard, maintaining the correct surface finish specified by the gasket manufacturer.

Crankshafts are polished after grinding to achieve the exact dimensions and surface finish required; diesel cranks are electro-magnetically crack tested; sealing diameters and nose ends are measured and reclaimed if necessary; blended radii, thrust wear and alignment are checked; and all oil galleries are de-burred and thoroughly cleaned.

Cylinder blocks are re-bored / re-sleeved as necessary, and power honed to recreate a factory finish, main housings are tested & measured for alignment, all are then machined as required.

Con-rods are checked for alignment, measured for size, ovality and taper, and machined as necessary; all small-end bushes are renewed.

Oil pump – fully tested and inspected with parts replaced as necessary, any suspect / sub-standard pumps are automatically replaced

Water pump – fully tested and inspected with parts replaced as necessary, any suspect / sub-standard pumps are automatically replaced

All engines are fitted with new pistons, piston pins, piston rings, main and con-rod bearings, small-end bushes, timing chain/belt, gaskets, oil seals, core plugs and oil filters. Diesel pumps and injectors are remanufactured by a diesel injection specialist. All of the parts used are as per original manufacturer’s specification and quality or above.
